Compassion and Expertise

At its core, Heartbeat4Children is dedicated to improving access to life-saving medical and surgical interventions for children suffering from congenital heart defects, rare pediatric conditions, and other complex health challenges. The association's scope also extends to adults in underserved regions, particularly those requiring grown-up congenital heart (GUCH) surgeries and neurological interventions.

Heartbeat4Children's activities encompass: Direct medical and surgical care for children and adults with complex conditions Training and upskilling healthcare professionals worldwide Supporting scientific research and publishing findings in specialized medical fields Raising and distributing funds to finance care, training, and education Collaborating with national and international organizations to maximize impact

Upcoming Opportunities: Bosnia and Herzegovina & Ethiopia

The association is poised to launch its pilot project in Bosnia and Herzegovina starting September 1, 2025. Heartbeat4Children is in the process of formalizing agreements with Bosnian authorities and the country's largest NGO, Fond Solidarnosti Emmaus. This collaboration aims to provide cutting-edge pediatric surgical care and professional training, setting a precedent for future initiatives in the region.

In Ethiopia, Heartbeat4Children has established promising contacts with medical authorities, including Dr. Melkemu Merit and Dr. Liew Avoke Desta. With a population exceeding 100 million, Ethiopia presents a critical opportunity to make a substantial difference in pediatric and adult specialized care. The association is actively working to develop partnerships and lay the groundwork for sustainable healthcare improvements.
